ISO insurance rating
Great News!
The UJFD was re-evaluated by Insurance Services Organization ISO and we have attained a new PPC rating of 4/6/10 (4 in areas with hydrants, 6 for areas with no hydrants but within 5 road miles of a fire station and 10 for areas outside of 5 miles from a fire station). This is a huge accomplishment and, effective March 1, 2014, it may significantly LOWER the home owner's insurance premiums of many U-J residents. The UJFD participates in parades on:
Memorial Day wearing full dress uniform followed by a service at Jericho or Underhill cemetary
Harvest Market (last weekend in September) wearing turnout gear. Fire safety booth and a truck on display for the whole weekend.
(The UJFD also participates in parades on July 4th in the towns of Essex, Richmond, and Cambridge)
